David Raffini

Download Biography

David Raffini creates textures and meticulous imagery that evoke emotive presence through their unconventional shapes and forms. By implementing an element of destruction in his creation, Raffini produces iconography of the media merged with another source of images, more timeless, that of art history. And through these imagery and wear, an idea of destruction dominates, portraying his affected relationship with the world. Raffini believes that the painting must be what it is for what it is and its objective, or its ambition, is to be a painting, where it connects a range of more complex emotions, permeated with the processes of paint and not explained by narrative.

David Raffini (b.1982) is orginally from Corsica and currently resides in Nice, France.
